We Help Our Community's Students Succeed Through Scholarships

Highland Dollars for Scholars® is a nonprofit foundation that supports academic success in our community. As part of Scholarship America's® national network of locally based, volunteer-driven Dollars for Scholars chapters, our mission is to mobilize our community on behalf of postsecondary education success for our students.

Dollars for Scholars chapters like ours help hometown students achieve their educational goals by raising scholarship funds, establishing endowments,  and distributing scholarships each year.

This website provides resources from our chapter to our volunteers, community and students. Our Chapter is located in Highland, Indiana and we offer scholarships to all high school senior students who reside in Highland. We've had scholarship winners living in Highland who attended Highland High School, Andrean High School, Bishop Noll Institute, and Illiana Christian.  On an average we give 60 scholarships a year that range from $200.00 to $1,5000.00.

Our applications are on-line beginning in February. Not only will you apply for our scholarships, but you'll  discover scholarships from across the Scholarship America network that you may be eligible for.  We ask that you complete your application by April 1st..

Anyone wishing to volunteer may contact us through Joan Ray (jodonray@sbcglobal.net) or Jaime Houchin at Highland High School (jhouchin@highland.k12.in.us); we welcome all volunteers.  It is a great way to help Highland students!
